About This Event

This three-day retreat, led by Professor Korten, offers IELTS teachers an immersive professional development experience in the mountain setting of Aghveran, Armenia. The programme is centred on a core principle: teaching students to develop genuine skill alongside exam performance. Rather than treating IELTS preparation as a formulaic exercise, participants explore how to build the underlying competencies — in writing, speaking, listening, and reading — that produce both stronger scores and more capable English users. The retreat format allows for deeper engagement than a typical workshop, with twelve hours of structured training spread across three days, peer collaboration, and personalised guidance.
